CHICAGO, August 1, 2026, The Institute for Litigation Finance today announced that Russ W. Rosenzweig has been elected as its first Executive Director, effective August 1, 2026.
Mr. Rosenzweig brings more than 30 years of experience at the intersection of litigation, expert witnesses, and capital to the role. He was a founding member of Expert Capital Partners in 2010 and is regarded as one of the pioneering figures in the litigation finance brokerage industry, having spent over a decade assessing prospective litigation finance opportunities and building one of the field's deepest networks of litigation financiers.
Mr. Rosenzweig is also the founder of Round Table Group, which he co-founded in 1994 as the first expert witness search and referral company. He orchestrated the firm's acquisition by Thomson Reuters in 2010, and repurchased the company in 2019, where he continues to serve as CEO.
“Litigation finance has reached the scale where it needs the same kind of independent institution that every mature field eventually builds for itself,” said Rosenzweig. “I've spent three decades watching claimants, law firms, and capital providers try to find each other without a neutral party in the room. That's the gap the Institute exists to close.”
