This Privacy Policy describes how the Institute for Litigation Finance ("the Institute," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use this website, including the AI Concierge and any related services.

We collect information in a few distinct ways:
We use the information collected to: operate and improve the AI Concierge and related tools; respond to follow-up requests you submit; understand, in aggregate, how the site is used and how litigation finance inquiries evolve over time (as described on our About page); and, where you have engaged the Middle-Market Placement Service or the Exchange, to prepare and facilitate introductions related to your matter.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
To generate AI Concierge responses, the text of your conversation is sent to Anthropic (the provider of the underlying AI model) for processing. We also use Resend to deliver email notifications (including chat transcripts and follow-up requests) and Google Analytics to understand site usage. Each of these providers processes data under their own privacy terms, and we encourage you to review them if you have specific questions about how they handle information in transit.
Chat transcripts and follow-up request details are retained by the Institute as needed to respond to your inquiry, improve our services, and maintain reasonable business records. Separately, each AI Concierge conversation is also converted into a small set of categorical tags, broad matter type, estimated claim size range, jurisdiction, and general subject topics, with no names, contact details, or other identifying information included. These tags may be retained indefinitely and used in aggregate for research purposes, consistent with our stated mission; identifiable case details are not published or shared outside the Institute without your authorization.
You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, by contacting us using the details below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law (for example, under the California Consumer Privacy Act or the EU General Data Protection Regulation); we will make reasonable efforts to honor requests consistent with those laws.
This site uses Google Analytics, which relies on cookies and similar technologies to understand aggregate usage patterns. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and most browsers let you block or delete them; doing so may affect how parts of the site function.
This site is intended for business and legal professionals and adults evaluating a legal matter. It is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect information from, children under 16.
